The RAPID Growth Project works to expand economic opportunities in rural areas by strengthening agro-enterprises, improving market access, and supporting farmers, cooperatives, and microenterprises through inclusive and sustainable value chains.
The project aims to reduce rural poverty by increasing the incomes of small farmers, women, youth, and men through inclusive value chain development and stronger partnerships between producers and agri-based enterprises.
The RAPID Growth Project creates enabling conditions for the sustained growth of smallholder farmers and agri-based MSMEs by strengthening key agricultural value chains in cacao, coconut, coffee, and processed fruits and nuts across Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.
The RAPID Growth Project supports smallholder farmers, farmer organizations, agri-based MSMEs, and special sectors such as women, youth, and Indigenous Peoples (IPs). The project works to strengthen their participation in agricultural value chains and expand their opportunities for sustainable income and enterprise growth.
RAPID Growth works closely with national government agencies, local government units, private sector partners, and development organizations to deliver programs and services that strengthen agricultural value chains and support rural enterprise development.
Direct Assistance to Enterprises
Direct Enterprise Support strengthens the capabilities and competitiveness of farmers, farmer organizations, and agri-based enterprises through targeted business development services. It delivers technical and business support, enhances the organizational and operational capacities of farmer organizations and MSMEs, and supports strategic farm-to-market infrastructure that improves market access and reduces logistics costs.
The RAPID Growth Project operates in selected provinces across Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, supporting rural communities engaged in high-potential agricultural value chains such as cacao, coconut, coffee, and processed fruits and nuts. The project works closely with local government units, farmer organizations, and agri-based enterprises to strengthen value chains and expand economic opportunities in these regions.
