The successful inauguration and turnover of the Bacalto–Mission Farm to Market Road (FMR) marks another step forward in strengthening connectivity, improving accessibility, and uplifting the lives of the people of Sitio Mission, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Bagumbayan.
Worth Php 21 Million, this infrastructure project is more than just a road — it is a pathway to economic growth, better transportation, faster delivery of goods and services, and improved opportunities for farmers, residents, and future generations.
The ceremony began with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony attended by officials from LGU Bagumbayan, DTI, DILG, barangay officials, stakeholders, and community members, followed by an opening prayer led by Hon. Rodel Palmares. An inspiring opening message was delivered by Hon. Julieto Inion, former Barangay Captain, emphasizing the importance of unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility in achieving sustainable development for the community.
DTI Region 12 Regional Director Flora D. Politud-Gabunales, CESO III, together with DILG Region 12 represented by MLGOO Mr. Badrudin Madale, expressed their support and commitment in continuously bringing government services and development initiatives closer to the people.
Mayor Elizer David Segura, in his acceptance message, conveyed his sincere gratitude to DTI, DILG, stakeholders, barangay officials, and the constituents of Sitio Mission, Brgy. Sto. Niño for their collective efforts and unwavering support. He also encouraged everyone to preserve and protect the road through cooperation and bayanihan whenever maintenance concerns may arise.
The Signing of the Certificate of Turnover between DTI, DILG, and LGU Bagumbayan officially symbolized the completion and handover of the project to the local government and beneficiaries.
The event was further highlighted by a cultural presentation from the Manobo Dulangan Tribal group, celebrating the rich traditions and heritage of the Indigenous Peoples community.
Heartfelt messages of gratitude were also shared by Municipal IPMR Mr. Goon Timlas and Municipal Engineer Engr. Donesa Concepcion, who reflected on the positive impact and experiences brought by the project.
The ceremony concluded with closing remarks from Municipal Councilor Dexter Omega Bito-onon, reminding everyone that development becomes meaningful when communities work together for the common good.
