The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Sultan Kudarat, through the RAPID Growth Project, continues to advance the development of the province's coffee industry by conducting ongoing field validation and monitoring activities to support coffee farm expansion and rehabilitation.

From June 22 to 25, 2026, RAPID Growth Project Field Validator Patrick John Alajar conducted site validation to members of the Coffee Farmers Association, Inc. in Brgy. Capilan, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, to assess the progress of project-assisted coffee farms.

The field validation focused on monitoring the condition and development of farms that received coffee seedlings and farm tools under the project. It also verified the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) introduced through various capability-building activities and technical assistance provided to farmer-beneficiaries.

The RAPID Growth Project delivers integrated support across the coffee value chain; from farm production and rehabilitation to processing and market linkage. Regular field monitoring ensures that project interventions are effectively implemented, promotes proper farm management, and encourages sustained participation among beneficiaries.

Through these continuing initiatives, DTI Sultan Kudarat reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the local coffee industry by enhancing farm productivity, improving coffee quality, and creating greater income opportunities for coffee farmers across the province.
