A significant milestone for Makilala Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MakMPC) as it successfully delivered 22 metric tons of copra to its anchor firm, New Asia Davao, showcasing the cooperative’s growing capacity to connect coconut farmers to stable and profitable markets.

The delivery was made possible through the truck awarded to the cooperative on June 1, 2026 strengthening its logistics operations and enabling more efficient, cost-effective, and timely transport of produce. With improved market access, Makilala MPC is better positioned to serve its farmer-members and meet the demands of institutional buyers.

This achievement reflects the impact of the RAPID Growth Project in empowering farmer organizations through strategic investments that enhance productivity, market linkages, and enterprise development. By strengthening cooperatives like Makilala MPC, the project continues to create sustainable livelihood opportunities and improve the incomes of coconut farming communities.
