RAPID BARMM with IFAD, NPCO, and RGMS
The most awaited Maguindanao Coffee Detailed Investment Plan, called Mag-Coffee DIP in BARMM was regarded as a feasible plan for investment and, it was approved by the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), and International Fund for Agriculture and Development (IFAD) consultant during final review of DIP Coffee.
During the DIP Technical Review held on 14 August 2023, the IFAD expert, NPCO, and Resource Generation and Management Services (RGMS) assessed and validated the content of the investment plan through follow-up questions and clarifications to the DIP team in Maguindanao to see how feasible and contributing it is to the overall target of the project.
Through the DIP team's hands-on development of DIP Coffee in Maguindanao, they successfully defended and proved the feasibility of the proposed investment. The project intervention, which includes rehabilitation, intensification, and expansion, promises a prospect of a 60% increase in income for the target coffee farmers by the end of the project.
With the approved DIP Coffee, the RAPID BARMM is now one step closer to the realization of the investment plan to take off and touch the lives of its target community partners to contribute to reducing poverty incidence in target areas through sustained income increase among small farmers and unemployed rural women and men across select value chains.
