The 2026 Implementation Support Mission for the RAPID Growth Project has officially commenced following the successful Kick-Off Meeting held today, 20 April 2026, at the Waterfront Insular Hotel in Davao City.

Current projections indicate that RAPID Growth remains on track to fully achieve its objectives by the end of the project in June 2027.

A key highlight of the session was the presentation of success stories demonstrating the 4P (Public, Private, Producer Partnership) Model in implementing the Detailed Investment Plans. Among these were the Tibolo Integrated Farmer Workers Association (TIFWA) of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, which reported a significant increase in green coffee bean sales, and the Mahayahay Women Association, Inc. in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, together with 7R Coffee Processing and General Merchandise, showcasing a strong and productive market partnership.

Participants also actively engaged in thematic sessions led by consultants from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to discuss Exit and Sustainability Plans, rapid assessment of the impacts of the Middle East crisis, procurement, and rural finance.

In the coming days until 25 April, mission participants will take part in a 4P Bootcamp, where IFAD and project implementers will work together to assess existing models, identify gaps, and strengthen selected cases. Field visits across the Davao Region are also scheduled to allow participants to directly engage with farmer-beneficiaries and witness firsthand the impact of the Project.
