The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the RAPID Growth Project, conducted the Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) 8 Knowledge Management (KM) Regional Planning, Basic Article Writing, and Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop on September 20-22, 2023 at the DTI 8 Regional Office. It was attended by the 23 staff from RCU and Provincial Coordination Unit (PCU) of Leyte, Northern Samar, and Southern Leyte.

The three-day event covered topics in Knowledge Mapping and Knowledge Management Planning; Basic Article Writing and High Impact Presentation; and RAPID Growth Project’s Monitoring and Evaluation Processes.

As an output of the activity, the participants were able to: (a) draft the Regional KM Plan; (b) craft news/feature articles for major events previously conducted; and (c) conduct preliminary data cleaning of the Value Chain Stakeholders initially profiled per PCU.

The knowledge-sharing activity was made possible with the experts from the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), namely, Sandra Isabel O. Cayanong, Communication and Knowledge Management Specialist; Jojie Ann B. Climaco, Project Monitoring and Evaluation Officer; Christian C. Bron, Information System Analyst. Anthea Aivi B. Ancheta, Information Officer III of DTI 8, also served as resource person during the event.

With the event, the RAPID Growth Project staff are expected to effectively fast-track the development of RAPID knowledge products and monitoring of the project’s progress. Ultimately, the session fosters a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, enhancing decision-making, problem-solving, and overall performance.
