1st Coordination Meeting 2026
The RAPID Growth Project—comprised of its implementing units from all 7 regions and 21 provinces, and its partner implementing government agencies—convened last March 24-25, 2026 for its first Coordination Meeting for the year 2026.
Convening online, all project units actively participated and reported the progress of the project’s implementation in their respective areas. As of March 15, 2026, the project has reached 73,409 smallholder farmers (94% of end-of-project target), 771 farmer organizations (257%), and 975 MSMEs (93%).
Implementing units also presented success stories gathered from their respective beneficiaries—showcasing the significant impact the project delivered through its conduct of capacity-building activities, facilitation of productive investments, construction of farm-to-market roads, and establishment of partnerships with commercial and financial institutions.
During the two-day coordination meeting, project staff identified strategic and priority activities to achieve the goals of the project and having a renewed perspective on what needs to be done until the end of the project in June 2027.
“The communities we serve—the farmers, the rural entrepreneurs, the families waiting on the promise of this project—continue to look to us… It is the reason we are here,” said DTI 12 Regional Director Flora Politud-Gabunales in her statement as she presented the objectives of the coordination meeting.
With renewed focus and invigorated unity, the RAPID Growth Project continues to move onwards to 2027, ready to help our rural agricultural communities achieve sustainable economic growth to uplift their daily lives.
